I can see a little trail Like the one made of crumbs in the fairy tale And I'm gonna follow it as far as it leads me I guess I'll just dodge that candy witch jail Now I'm running after a gingerbread man Oh I'll never catch him as fast as I am But I'm gonna follow him as far as he leads me I guess I'll just keep running til that boy gets stale In fairy tales you can learn a lot When shit gets weird it's just part of the plot You can turn to stone or get cut up Just remind yourself that It's All Made Up Heres an old troll who spins straw into gold and he's got me in a guessing game to which I'm beholden But I'm gonna follow it as far as it leads me I guess I'll just keep guessing til he leaves me alone And here comes prince charming upon his white horse Well he's got nothing to do with my story of course I was gonna follow that breadcrumb trail anyway and that guy can ride off into the sunset by himself In fairy tales you can learn a lot When shit gets weird it's just part of the plot You can turn to stone or get cut up Just remind yourself that It's All Made Up

Why do fools fall in love? Cause nobody put a fence around it Foolish me I'm so clumsy I took a spill and I fell right down I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down down down and the flames went higher And they were so pretty I wish you could see them with me Why do fools fall in love? Maybe they're just sleepwalkers too Walking around and dreaming of Waking up next to someone like you I fell into a burning ring of fire And it burns burns burns I'm feeling the heat But maybe I fell in because I was swept off my feet Why do fools fall in love? Maybe they just missed their exit Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike they fell in when they pulled off at a rest stop I fell into a burning ring of fire Like I've done a dozen times before Maybe nobody put a fence around it So you can always come back and fall in some more

I know a little planet flying up close to the sun So bright and fast and pretty, but a little to lively to live upon they say that they found water, but its usually just dust and I know lots about the moon, but my memory is rusty some people have heavenly bodies, some people think thy have none Whenever you're ready to come back down some bodies down here have something to say to you Like Jupiter the stupider slower clumsier one has been waiting for a chance to talk with Juno's warlike son She'll say Io, I know a guy we can ask about space But Mars if you want to listen, you have to stay in once place So come take a seat among my many moons i promise I won't keep you too long, you'll be on your way soon But Mars take your head out of the milky clouds Long enough to wave goodbye as our orbits divide
